What IP address and port have you configured on the device? What's the device id?
The device IMEI?
Would this be easier (faster) if we used your server and had it set up by your staff?
Thomas, its local IP address. You must set external IP address to your tracker, and 5031 port for Sierra.
Cheack ur IP here: https://myexternalip.com/
@Thomas, I'm confused by your answer and question.
You said that you are trying to connect device to our service, but then you are using your local IP address. Please clarify. Also, port 8082 is not for devices. It's only for web interface. For devices ports check "Device" page.
Your question is even more confusing because in your original comment you said that you are using our service and I know that you purchased a Tracking Account subscription, so I was assuming that you are using it already.
The provided IP is local due to the unit having a VPN tunnel that is connected to that specific server only. The modem is only accessible by an internal address.I did not see our device in your device list. i did see a "Sierra" but I do not know if that is the correct one. Please let me know.
I purchased the service for testing purposes. Do I need to sign up for anything else? Or was that for service on your server?
If your modem and server are on the same network, you can use local IP address, but port 8082 is not for devices.
That's for service on our server. You should have received an email about your Traccar account. The email includes information about IP address and ports, if you want to use it.
Sorry, I did not receive that email.
Re-sent the email.
Thank you, The port 5031 was one thing we were missing. Also wanted to note I found on the forum this article about the report type and Device ID which was helpful. Just

We are using a Sierra Wireless Raven RV50. I am not having any luck getting this device to connect to your service. Please advise ASAP.
