Hi all. I have been using a SinoTrack ST-901 (2G) in my car for several months and it's been working perfectly. I have now installed the 4G version (ST-901L) in my motorbike but the device keeps going online / offline every ~5 minutes even when I'm not using my bike.
The one in my car goes online / offline just once in the day when I don't use it.
I have them both physically wired the same way with the orange wire to a switched live and the other 2 wires to the battery. I have also (I think I have anyway) configured both of them in the same way, although when I do a RCONF I get a slightly different output on my bike one and I cannot figure out which commands to run to make it match my car one.
Anyone know what commands I may need to send it to make it behave like my car one? I want the device to stay in sleep mode until I turn the ignition on and then I want it to report every 7 seconds. When the ignition is turned off I want it to sleep 5 minutes after this point.
Attached RCONF of my bike one which I want to match my car one. The devices are slightly different models (2g / 4g) so I realise the RCONF may not look identical but there's something which keeps waking my bike one up every 5 minutes..
Any ideas much appreciated!
Cheers,
Jake

Your GPS tracker SLEEP:ON is enable which means your tracker will go into offline mode until a movement is detected.
The sleep interval is internally set to 300 seconds or 5 minutes by factory default and cannot be changed since we all do not know the command code yet and no such information in the user manual.
Just set SLEEP: OFF will do the trick.
SLEEP0000 0
Sleep Interval (0 = OFF)
Isn't it good that it goes into offline mode until movement detected? My bike is not moving every 5 minutes so not sure why that would explain the device waking up every 5 minutes?
Doesn't setting it to OFF mean that the device won't ever go to sleep?
Since posting the original post, I installed the 2G version on my bike and have SLEEP:ON and it works perfectly. The device only wakes up when I use my bike.
Seems some sort of issue with SLEEP on the 4G version?
