Is there a limit to the number of points uploaded to the servers in a day?

I am asking this because I note on my longer trips, when I do a report, the route and data points are very close together at the beginning, and then as the trip goes on it seems to revert to more distanced points. See attached image

If it's a question about subscription service, you have to contact support. But the short answer is yes.
