Some issues to access the webportal

CharlieHarpers20 days ago

Hi, I have some issues to access the webportal, after installation on digitalocean I install the VPS like on your VPS documentation site and tried to register. After registration I have no access to the tracking site. Any ideas?

You have the reset password option on the login page.

If it is your server you shold also be able to change traccar config to set the server mail account.

Hi, no I do not have the reset option on the login page! It is the server of digitalocean and I have created a droplet.

One step further, I configured now the smtp mailserver-dates and got the reset option, email was sent, but 1. I got a 127.0.0.1 link and 2. after correcting the link to the proper IP I could change the Password, but still no successfully login. I will try more!

Ideas to check:

  • Make sure you're typing everything correctly, same letter case, no extra spaces etc. Hopefully you already double-checked this.
  • Make sure the user is not disabled.

Thx Anton! Yes I checked it. I tried to register another account, that was not possible anymore, maybe some general rights are missing!?

Registration disabled - SecurityException (UserResource:107 < ... < OverrideFilter:50 < ...)

Have you enabled it?

CharlieHarpers20 days ago

Hi Anton, enabling means to have access at least via admin right?! But I have not access.Maybe we should take your service to install the software to our requirements.

Enabling does require admin access, but you can use service token if you can't login with admin.

Hi Anton, after putting in the credentials I get the following message. For input string: "token" - NumberFormatException (... < OverrideFilter:50 < ...)
Any suggestions?

Where do you put it? No context.

Ah you are right, do not laugh I only guessed it and I am novice in Linux Ubuntu etc.: I took the normal browser and typed in "ip":8082/api/session/token , then I get popup for the credentials and put in the username and PW.

Anton Tananaev17 days ago

This makes absolutely no sense to me. I thought you're trying to login using a token. Why would you enter some username and password? All you need to do is open ip:8082?token=....

CharlieHarpers17 days ago

Thank you for your fast response! I have still no token, because actually I do not know how to get the token, simply said I do not know where to to get a token outside the trackingsite(Putty?). As I said I can not login with any credentials. So far I know, the first registered user is the admin, and this admin have no access!

If you don't know, why not ask a clarification question instead of posting some error with context?

You can set the service token in the configuration:
