GPRS commands while device is offline

Currently, GPRS commands are only sent to a device while it is online. If the device is offline, the GPRS commands are queued and executed as soon as the device comes back online (with an API response of 202).

As a result, we cannot rely on GPRS to remotely activate a vehicle (e.g., unlock doors) in scenarios where the device is offline.

At present, we use SMS commands to wake up the device first. However, we would like to move away from this approach, as SMS commands have proven to be unreliable.

Is there a way to send GPRS commands to a device while it is offline?
Alternatively, any recommendations for a more reliable solution?

No, of course it's not possible.

Is it correct that offline means: network connection closed?

If so, I understand that its not possible. My thoughts would then be to keep the network connection open by configuring the devices with timeout pings to keep the link open. Would that work?

Answer: Yes, thats a possible workaround, what kind of device are you using?

Teltonika devices, typically FMC130 / FMC150. It seems possible here: https://wiki.teltonika-gps.com/view/FMC130_GPRS_settings#Records_Settings.

Also open to any other suggestions.
