Hello
I am running Traccar Version: 5.12.
I have set up Push Notifications for the "Ignition On" event.
According to the description below for the "Ignition On" event:
"The ignition value has changed from off to on. This event requires the device to report the ignition value."
However, while the device has ignition on, every record that the device sends reports a value of "Ignition Yes."
In the Traccar server, "Ignition On" events are continuously reported for every record that the device sends during the ignition-on period.
There is no record with "Ignition No," nor is there an "Ignition Off" event during this period.
This behavior does not align with the expected description that "Ignition On" events are triggered only when the ignition value changes from off to on.
Consequently, push notifications are being sent for every record, which is not the expected behavior.
Is there a workaround to get only one "Ignition On" event until the "Ignition Off" arrives
You have to figure out why it's not working as expected. Look at the raw data.
Raw data has the ignition values reported , that are translated by traccar server as Ignition Yes or Igntion No in every record .
While the GPS device in the car is moving and Ignition is On , all the records have value of "Ignition Yes." and for every record the event "Ignition On" is created
Traccar compares last known position with the new one and if ignition changed, it fires the event.
Unfortunately seems that it does not
I trust that you are right i start looking the details , my apologies just i got 563 Events / out of 2400 records and got wrong impression , something is funny in the way the tracker is reporting the ignition . A big thank you
