I don't see anything like that in the logs. What port are you using? What's the IMEI number of your device?
Hi Anton,
Sorry for the delay, the IMEI was difficult to find inside the device, had to disassemble it. Here it is: 012207008092659
Thank you.
I forgot to mention the port, I have serial connection to the device, and a simple programming tool which allows me limited configuration. I've set:
IP to Demo server 4: 104.251.215.88 Port: 5001 IMEI is: 012207008092659 Device ID: 00008522 (Original port was: 6096)
The Protocol documentation mentions:
Protocolo Received:
00.00.40.08 31 22.0.89.40 83 47.52.39.20 87 65 0 12.26 7.2.7 130 5
Where:
ID: 00.00.40.08 Msg Type: 31 Latitude: 22.0.89.40 North/South (78N/83S): 83 Longitude: 47.52.39.20 East/West (69E/87W): 87 Valid (65Yes/86No): 65 Speed: 0 Hour/Minute: 12.26 Date: 7.2.7 SOS/Panic Etc state: 130 Num. Sat.: 5
Thanks.
I can't find anything from your device in the logs.
Hi,
I don't know if it makes any difference, but I had it on for some time earlier today, but I powered it off after some time because I'm running it on a Lipo as not to deplete it.
I also had no GPS Antenna connected to the receiver, don't know if it stops trying to send communication if there are no antenna connected, but it would be a really bad security problem if that's the case (a thief could just cut the antenna cable and the device won't even transmit, at least with the information it has, like, engine started, engine off, etc..), I don't think that's the case, I think it transmits antenna or not, but just to be sure, I've attached the antenna.
The device is on right now. If you still can't find anything on the LOG, I'll try an other Carrier SIM card. Even though I call the number the device picks up, indicating it does indeed has GSM signal, and the sim card on a mobile phone can indeed access the internet.
Thank you very much!
You should try a different port. Try 5117 for example.
Hi,
Just changed the port to 5117. I didn't think of changing the port because I though, well, the server listens to all ports, if there is any communication at all, it should show on the log.
Thanks again.
Server logs everything, but the problem is that port 5001 is very busy and there are thousands or messages on it, so I can't possibly got through all of them manually. I was just searching for id.
Anyway, still nothing in the log even on port 5117. Does your device use UDP or TCP?
I don't know unfortunately. The limited documentation I have, does not mention if it's TCP or UDP.
Try port 5021. It's a UDP one. It's the last chance to get any data. If nothing, it means that your device doesn't send anything.
Done. Fingers crossed ;)
Unfortunately still nothing.
New Sim card in. Same port 5021. Anything?
Nothing.
Hi Anton,
I'm trying to connect my Tracker to your Demo server 4, and so far no luck.
Could you please check the Log for me, see if it's at least sending anything, the ID is: 00008522 or it might be like this: 00.00.85.22, I'm not really sure exactly what the protocol is.
Thanks.
