ACC Issue and Firmware Update for Sinotrack ST-901

Lorenzo a year ago

Hello everyone,

I’m using a Sinotrack ST-901 for GPS tracking on my vehicle and have encountered a specific issue with the ACC status detection. When I connect the orange wire to the 12V, the tracker correctly indicates that the engine is on. However, when I disconnect the orange wire, the tracker initially reports that the engine is off, but after a while, it suddenly changes and shows the engine as on, even though the wire remains disconnected.

This behavior seems like a bug and is causing issues with accurately monitoring the engine status. I’ve searched for solutions online but haven’t found a definitive answer. I’ve read that a firmware update might be necessary to fix this issue, but I haven’t been able to find information on how to perform a firmware update on this device.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or knows how to update the firmware on the Sinotrack ST-901? Any detailed instructions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide!

Did you check the device data from the log when this happens?

How can I check them?

If your device delivers the voltage of your vehicle, you can create a calculated attribute that handles the ignition status.

Hi,

i've exactly the same issue. Here is the log of an example tracker Sinotrack ST-901:

This part is for ACC on - this is right, because i connected the acc pin to plus:

This part is for ACC off - this is right as well, because i disconnected the acc pin from plus:

2024-10-01 11:22:57 INFO: [T9b30c5c7: h02 < xx.xx.xx.xx] 249xxxxxxxxx71123030110244853022000010288440c000000fffff9ff000000620000000001060152303d0106

Some minutes later I see this in the log and this is wrong, because the acc pin is still disconnected:

2024-10-01 11:29:46 INFO: [T889dc59a: h02 < xx.xx.xx.xx] *HQ,9xxxxxxxxx7,V5,112952,V,x.x,N,x.x,E,0.00,0,011024,FFFFFDFF,0,0,0,0,0#

The tracker works as it should do - with acc off he sends only 3600 seconds and with acc on every 5 seconds.

This is the result of RCONF:

I hope someone can help me in this case. Traccar Version is 6.4

Thanks in advance,

Check the status against the protocol documentation for your device to see if it's a server or device issue.
