Client returning stale lat/lon positions while updating altitude and speed

Hi I am currently testing the traccar client on my phone Blu studio G with android 6.0

Yesterday I started the tracker on my way back home and while checking the result I was surprised to find that the device seem to have reported the same latitude/longitude pair over and over again while updating the altitude and the speed.

Do you know of why this could be happening?

I set the provider to GPS only with 20 seconds interval.

Sounds like there is some problem with GPS module on your device.

Today I have found a slightly different behaviour: it reports quite ok but every now and then the device goes back to some particular place (most of the time my office and once or twice to some other random place very far away from the position (~30 miles) to a place I have never been to (I would think that this too much to consider it a gps miscalculation)

I have been monitoring the GPS with the app 'GPS test' and sometimes I notice one of two behaviours
1: No satellites in use albeit having 10 or more visible.
2: No satellites visible for a log time (clearing AGPS data usually fixes this).

Do you think these things align to your theory of a faulty GPS module?

What location provider are you using?

Hi I am using GPS only.

Then there must be some problem with your device.
