Traccar 4.15

Traccar GPS tracking server version 4.15 is available for download.

We partnered with LocationIQ to provide maps and reverse geocoding for free by default without a need for any additional configuration. Street map is completely free and there's an option to enable satellite map (requires a token). Reverse geocoding has a limit per server, but the limit can be increased by providing your own token. For more information on LocationIQ in Traccar please check the documentation.

Notable changes on the backend:

• Added support for polling protocol types where server requests data from a gateway instead of common push model
• Support for titles in push notifications
• Orders functionlity - only API for now, but we plan to implement UI in the modern app
• Relative filtering - load last position from the database for more accurate filtering
• Token now overrides current user session
• Large number of existing protocol fixes and improvements

New communication protocols in 4.15:

• B2316 - Mictrack B2136 protocol
• Hoopo - protocol for Hoopo Platform API
• DualCam - special protocol for Teltonika DualCam
• Xexun2 - new Chinese protocol used by TT18 4G device
• TechtoCruz - protocol for Techto & Cruz devices
• FlexAPI - an API for IoT applications
• DSF22 - GPS trackers from Latvian company Digital Systems
• Jido - format for JIDO E-Locks
• Armoli - protocol for Armoli smart solutions trackers

There was a large number of improvdements in the modern web app, but unfortunately it's still not ready to replace the original app. We are getting close to the point where modern app will be the default option. If you want to receive updates, please subscribe to the newsletter.
